I just finished reading I Survived the Attack of September 11, 2001 by: Lauren Tarshis. I chose to read this book because I wanted to know about the crazy attacks that happened in the U.S. I also read a book called Falling Towers which is a similar story, this is where I got the interest from.
This was a scary book for me but I liked learning about the history of what happened. I learned that on 9/11 there was smoke all over New York City. Some people couldn't see or breathe. Others were waiting for their families to leave the Towers. Everyone in the city was scared. About 1,100 firefighters had to help during the attack. The Twin Towers collapsed after an airplanes crashed into each Tower. There were also other airplanes going to hit other things in the United States like the Pentagon and the White House.
I love learning about history and I am going to start reading other I Survived books like the Earthquake of 1906, Pearl Harbor 1941 and Hurricane Katrina 2005. I will never forget about these attacks and how they changed the world.
The next book I will be making a blog about is called Blubber by Judy Blume.

By: Megan Stine

Michelle Obama was born on January 17, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois. Michelle and her brother, Craig, had to sleep in the living room together. Michelle and her brother both skipped second grade. Michelle went to a magnet high school and then to Princeton University. She also went to Harvard Law School, which is where she met Barack Obama.

Michelle Obama has had many achievements. One is Let's Move. It is a program that helps people bring together community leaders in an effort to address childhood obesity. The next one is School Lunch program. It is a program that provides healthy foods for 21 million students. Another achievement is Joining Forces. A program that helps service members get tools to succeed throughout their lives.
Describe the goals of this person. Do you think this person was successful? Why or why not? What factors influenced this person's achievements?
I think Michelle Obama was successful because she worked very hard to get into schools and her job as a lawyer. Also when she was the First Lady she made some great speeches to help Barack Obama be the President. The factors that helped her be successful were Barack Obama and her parents.
What influence did this person have on the community, the country or the world?
The influences Michelle Obama made around the country was in her programs she made with her friends. The programs Joining Forces, Let's Move and School Lunch helped many people around the country and the world.
What is your opinion of this person's life and accomplishments?
My opinion of Mrs Obama's accomplishments is great. She made three programs, while she was the First Lady, that helps kids health, helps homeless families and helps military people when they are at war. Let's Move is a good program because it provides parents support to make healthier choices for their kids. The School Lunch Program is an amazing program that gives healthy food to people, like schools, and homeless kids. Last, Joining Forces is an awesome program that created by Michelle Obama and Dr Jill Biden that help struggling service men at ware and when they come home.

My Favorite Book in the World....
My favorite chapter was Herimone's Secret. It was my favorite chapter because it is when Harry and Herimone time traveled to save Buckbeak and Sirrus Black, Harry's Godfather. I also liked the book because there are so many new characters like: Professor Trelwlany, Peter Pettigrew, Sirrus Black, Dementors, Professor Lupin and last but not least Buckbeak. That is why I love Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!
My Favorite Book by: Jordan Mabery
My favorite book in the world is Charlotte's Web because I saw the movie with my dad! In the beginning Fern went to the barn and saw her dad with an ax in his hand. He was trying to kill a baby pig but Fern said NO! Fern grabbed the ax from her dad. The pig's name was Wilbur and Fern loved him more than anything. Wilbur met Charlotte, the spider, in the barn and other animals. Templeton, a rat, got to keep an egg from the goose. He cracked the egg and the yellow part from the egg dropped on him. He lived in a tiny hole, but it is big inside. The story ends and it is very sad. Charlotte dies and Wilbur has to take care of the baby spiders. Wilbur will never forget Charlotte because she was a true friend and good writer.

The Never Girls In a Blink-Review by Emma Mabery
by: Kiki Thorpe illustrated by: Jana Christy
I'm starting this new book. I picked it out because it is just the right reading level for me. I liked it because the main place in the story is Neverland and that's where Tinker Bell and her friends live.
The characters that are in the book are Gabby, Mia, Kate and Lainey. In Pixie Hollow, where the fairies live, they call the humans "Clumsies." The fairies in the book are Tinker Bell, Prilla, and Queen Clarion.
I'm in the middle of the book, after Prilla showed the girls Pixie Hollow, they slept in hammocks. When they woke up it was their last day there. So Tinker Bell asked them what they would like to do. The girls said they all wanted to fly. So the fairies all agreed and taught them how to fly. Each girl was given pixie dust to fly. Kate kept falling down and it made all the other girls fall down. Mia was very scared and held onto a branch. This caused the girls to all fall because the girls stopped thinking happy things but Gabby was still doing somersaults, and finally she fell down.

At the end of the book, Prilla blinked to make the girls go home. But...it didn't work. So this means the girls are still in Neverland. This is the first book in a series so I know they have lots of adventures left.
I would like to give The Never Girls in a blink five stars. I think people who like fairies and adventures would enjoy this book. I am planning on reading The Never Girls the Space Between soon.
